February Snow Day Hike

Cold and chill, bless the Lord!
Dew and rain, bless the Lord!
Frost and cold, bless the Lord!
Ice and snow, bless the Lord!

Please join us for a day outdoors, hiking, surrounded by the Lord's divine creativity and manifested beauty. We will be hiking an "easier" trail than in times past, only to challenge ourselves with the high likelihood of snow and ice.

Our day will begin with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 8am at St. Vincent Ferrer, followed by a quick provided breakfast before heading out.

Importatnt Notes before registering:

- It is strongly recommended that you wear hiking boots, and be in excellent physical shape. Weather conditions outside of the city are very different. We will likely be trekking through deep snow and ice. Over all, it is an intermediate hike: a relatively beginner trail, made more difficult because of climate conditions.

- Beginners are welcome to join, however, it is imporant to note that we will be spending at least six hours in the cold and potentially wet weather. Proper clothing and shoe gear is essential and required. Cotton is not permitted, whereas synthetic and wool are ideal. More details will be provided after registration.

- We cannot guarantee a specific return time for Saturday so please do not make evening plans.

This event is open to all young adults in their 20's and 30's. If you wish to come on the hike, you must register online by Wednesday, February 11th. However, space may fill up before the deadline. If it does, feel free to put your name on a waiting list--we often have spaces open up. Note also that for the sake of our waiting list people, we will not offer refunds for those who cancel after midnight on Friday, October 24th..
